During 2009 we have had a busy year clearing rubbish undergrowth and Ivy from in and around the ruins. A loyal band of volunteers until very recently only numbering three! a great deal was achieved, enabling us to see the magnificent ancient features for so long hidden from veiw here are some pictures of a few of them, there are more in the Gallery section.

The Ivy infestation of the walls is very damaging to the fabric of the Flint work and is proving difficult to get rid of there are specific methods which have to be adered to which takes time to get to work on the roots both underground and within the walls themselves. But it is beginning to show where we have succeeded so far. Again many original features are being revealed as we go.
